The crowd, which was mostly peaceful, saw some who launched fireworks, threw bottles, and vandalized buildings and cars with graffiti – including a police cruiser prompting officers to reach for beanbag shotguns, reports the LA Times.

“We are proud and productive people, and we’re gonna show them that,” a man with a megaphone said to the crowd.

Most of the arrests were made after 1 am – with the majority being for vandalism of a lawful order.
Trump addressed the protestors, first by calling them paid and incited by the media:
Just had a very open and successful presidential election. Now professional protesters, incited by the media, are protesting. Very unfair!

Then, 9 hours later, Trump (or perhaps the staffer who stole his phone?) tweeted that he loved the passion of the protestors and that we will all “come together and be proud.”
Love the fact that the small groups of protesters last night have passion for our great country. We will all come together and be proud!
