After being called to a Desert Hot Springs home to investigate a home invasion, police called in the bomb squad to detonate a pipe bomb found in the house.

Cops were called to the house on Cielo Road on Thursday, reports KESQ. After finding the bomb, the house was evacuated and the bomb squad brought in.

The homeowner told police they had no idea how the bomb got in the house.

The device was detonated in the front yard, with the loud explosion causing neighbors to call KMIR.

No one was injured.
