The White House is hinting that they will conduct “greater enforcement” of a federal drug law prohibiting possession of marijuana, despite the fact that eight states, including California have legalized its use recreationally.

Back in 2013, Barack Obama ordered law officials not to enforce federal marijuana laws in those states that legalized, but the Twitter Troll currently in the White House feels differently about that, according to the comments of gum chewing Press Secretary Sean Spicer today.

“There is a big difference between (medical marijuana) and recreational marijuana,” Spicer said. “When you see something like the opioid addiction crisis blossoming in so many states, the last thing we should be doing is encouraging people. There is still a federal law we have to abide by.”

This could be devastating in the Coachella Valley – where cities like Coachella and Desert Pot Springs were primed to bring in huge tax revenues from marijuana.

But it is good news for some…
