Morongo Valley man arrested for cutting his neighbor’s neck with straight razor

A 53-year-old Morongo Valley man was arrested Monday night after police say he cut his neighbor’s neck with a straight razor.

Deputies were called to the Valley View Mobile Manor trailer park on West Drive around 9:50 pm. reports KESQ. They found 62-year-old Robert Tevino bleeding profusely due to a cut on his neck.

Authorities transported Trevino to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs for surgery and he is expected to recover.

Trevino and his neighbor, Paulo Franco,  were arguing in Franco’s driveway and Trevino pushed Franco to the ground and punched him twice, according to Z107.7. Franco then got up and slashed Trevino in the neck and chest.

Franco was arrested for attempted murder.
