Beloved local weather guesser Ginger Jeffries is leaving KMIR.
The longtime Coachella Valley television personality resigned from the station recently to pursue other interests. Jeffries, who “made the switch” from KESQ to KMIR in the summer of 2015, confirmed her resignation to Cactus Hugs Tuesday afternoon.
“Local news in the Coachella Valley has been a great career for 22 years,” Jeffries told Cactus Hugs in a Facebook message. “The valley has been incredibly welcoming to me and grabbed-on to my ‘user friendly forecast style’. Now, I’ve come to a time in my life that I want to explore other professional avenues. Stay tuned…..”
Jeffries has committed to staying on the air through July sweeps.
