Tuesday is going to be a terrible, disgusting, ridiculously hot day. Here are some updates of what is happening in and around the Coachella Valley as we all try to beat the insane heat.

7:21 pm: Thanks for staying with me all day and keeping up with the updates.  I leave you with this weirdness.

5:55 pm:  Why were we not at Del Mar today?

3:31 pm: Welp, we knew this cliché was coming at some point.

12:48 pm: I have realized that no matter how hot the temperature may get, one of your Facebook friends will comment that they remember when it was much, much hotter.  Sure, the official record in Palm Springs was 123 degrees, but Bob says that’s a damn lie because he remembers the day it was 128 a few years back and Veronica knows for a fact it reached 133 degrees in the Coachella Valley that one time.

12:36 pm: We have hit 117.

12:34 pm: The memes, they just won’t stop.

12:15 pm: Jerry Steffen’s latest forecast has Palm Springs missing the all-time record high by two degrees, which is oddly disappointing.

11:55 am: Three random thoughts before my brain melts:

  • Every commercial building in the Coachella Valley should be required to put in covered parking.
  • Anyone who is working outside today deserves a huge bonus and a hug (after they shower).
  • I should have ordered a necklace fan 2 days ago.

11:44 am: It somehow just keeps getting hotter and hotter.
