The Mongols are back in Palm Springs.
The motorcycle club’s annual retreat is taking place yet again at the Hilton, as they have rented out the entire place, notes KESQ. As the Mongols have been called one of the most dangerous motorcycle clubs in the country, local police have stepped up enforcement for the weekend.
“We have a significant law enforcement presence for this event,” Palm Springs Police Department spokesman, Lt. Paul Abshire told the TV station. “When motorcycle gangs come into town one of the things we worry about is weapons. A lot of them carry weapons.”
