Thursday morning, authorities were called to Desert Express Car Wash as a woman got her leg stuck in the machinery. According to a press release from The Riverside County Fire Department, 18 firefighters arrived on the scene and the woman was rescued.
UPDATE 10:45am: The woman sustained serious injuries and was transported by Riverside County paramedics to an area hospital. According to The Desert Sun, the woman is the manager of the car wash. While putting a car through the wash, she got her foot caught. The assistant manager rushed to turn off the machinery as soon as he saw what had happened.
UPDATE 10:50am: KESQ reports: “According to those on scene, the car wash didn’t sustain any damage during the incident.” – so there is that.
