A pedestrian was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle Thursday night in Palm Springs.
The woman was struck at about 8:45 pm on South Palm Canyon Drive and Avenida Palmera, reports the Desert Sun. The driver of the Toyota Camry that struck the woman stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. Drugs and alcohol were not believed to be a factor.

Paramedics rushed the woman to the hospital with critical, life threatening injuries.
Palm Canyon Drive was closed for investigation for several hours following the crash, but it has since reopened.
