A former KESQ and KMIR television personality is considering running for Congress in 2018.
Dan Ball told Jesse Marx of The Desert Sun that he will decide in the next few weeks if he will run as a Republican against incumbent Raul Ruiz next year. Ball told the paper, who he says called him, that he is tired of politicians who are playing play politics with his 9-year-old daughter’s future.
So why only float the idea of running and not just announce he is running now? Well, the guess here is he is floating the idea in the local paper to see if he can generate any financial backers for the campaign.
KMIR dismissed Ball from the airwaves and he is currently selling houses. He would face a tough task in the election, as Ruiz’s campaign currently has 1.6 million dollars in the bank and there are more Democrats registered in the district than Republicans.
Than there is the matter of Raul Ruiz’s shitty car – which has been, to this point, unbeatable in elections.
