There’s something great about being able to chill on a cool patio with a tasty craft beer, good company, and a tasty slice or two – and that’s just what you get at Polo Pizza.

Okay, first off, they have really good pizza.

But more on that below.

The place is located on the grounds of Indio’s Empire Polo Club, next to the Tack Room Tavern, Polo Pizza includes a huge patio (both covered and uncovered) with booths, high tops, picnic tables, couches – basically any type of pace you are looking to sit, it’s there.

The patio also has a bunch of games…

…a big fountain…

…and it looks really great at night.

The vibe is pretty chill.  Couples can hang out at a table, bigger groups at a high top, families have plenty of room to allow kids to, well, be kids.  It’s nice to find a place in the desert like that.

As for the food, Chef Peter makes some pretty tasty pizza. You can order up a whole pie or a slice.

My slice was great.  A good crust, zesty sauce, some good veg and sausage, and it was perfectly cooked.

And it’s not just pizza on the menu.  They also have appetizers – including bruschetta, which is really good.

Next time I think I am going to get the lamb and pork meatballs served in marinara with pesto, Parmesan, lemon herb ricotta.

Polo Pizza is open Tuesday through Sunday and they have a a Happy Hour from 3 to 6.

That sip and slice deal tho!
