[media-credit name=”Flickr” align=”aligncenter” width=”300″][/media-credit]Perhaps you have heard of California’s terrible, awful, devastating drought? Without any of the wet stuff around, Californians have been asked to cut back on water use (both officially and by drought shaming assholes).
Good news. You listened. The State Water Resources Control Board announced Tuesday a 7.5% reduction — about 17 billion gallons — in July compared with July 2103. That goes along with a 4.4% reduction in June.
Of course, that is still way short of the 20% reduction Governor Jerry Brown called for in January when he issued an emergency drought declaration. – but it is something right? Hell, I am proud of you. Well done California.
