This winter has been hot af in the Coachella Valley. The comes on the heals of the warmest year in the history of Palm Springs. Monday saw a rare break from the heat, with clouds, a storm on the way, temps only in the 60s, and, of all days, an appearance in the desert by one of the men most responsible for getting the world out about global warming: former Vice President Al Gore.
Gore was part of a panel at the Palm Springs International Film Festival following a screening of his film, An Inconvenient Sequel.
A tipster sent us these pics.
Jacket and a sweater, Mr. Gore? Guess Fox News is right and this proves once and for all that global warming is a hoax.
In all seriousness, it is cool that he came to town, though it sounds like the audience was, umm, well…
Time for audience Q's. Please keep the questions brief, moderator says.
First question: "I want to share a dream with you I has last night…"
The dream is about Oprah Winfrey running for president. Can't make this up.

As the moderator tried to end the Q&A, someone in the audience started yelling, "Salton Sea! Salton Sea!"
