A skydiver was killed after he fell onto the roof of a Perris home Monday afternoon.

It happened a little before 3 pm on Caldera Street, according to a Cal Fire news release. Paramedics arrived and pronounced the unidentified skydiver dead at the scene.

“I was in complete shock,” Christina Blanco, who was inside the home when it happened, told ABC 7. “I was like, no, this can’t be happening. … And then it took so long for us to find out if he was OK or not, just waiting. My heart just dropped when they were like, no, he’s not OK.”

More than 20 people have died in skydiving-related incidents at the Perris facility since 2000, according to the Riverside Press-Enterprise.
