A pedestrian was struck and killed in Desert Hot Springs on Friday night.
The fatal collision happened a little before 8:30 pm, according to DHS Police Chief Dale Mondary.
We are working a fatal traffic accident at Palm and Buena Vista involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. We will have the road shut down for several hours. please find an alternate route, slow down and drive safe.

Palm Drive at Buena Vista was closed for several hours while police investigated. The vitim was a woman, according to the Desert Sun. Her name of the woman was not released.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene, according to Mondary.
