A suspected drunken driver almost hit several people in the Imperial Beach coastline in San Diego on Sunday, before he drove his car into the ocean.
The driver, identified as 50-year-old Jorge Mosti, drove his car off the road about 6:30 pm, according to KTLA.

He drove about a mile along the beach, nearly hitting several people on the beach, before the car came to a stop after being partially submerged.

Police say that Mosti then got out of the vehicle and began walking towards Tijuana. Police caught up with him about half a mile away.
He was holding an open can of beer when police spotted him.
Mosti nowfaces charges of reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol.
