A man is dead after he was hit by three vehicles on the 10 Freeway early Saturday morning.
The victim was walking on the freeway just east of the 60 Freeway merge when he was hit by a vehicle in the left lane about 1:43 am, according to the Press Enterprise. The impact threw the man into the number three lane, where he was struck by two more cars.
Taylor J. Matich, 28, of Calimesa, was pronounced dead at the scene .
It’s not clear why he was walking on the freeway. The driver of the first vehicle stayed at the scene and was not arrested.
