The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens in Palm Desert will unveil a new, bigger, and much fancier entrance on Saturday, November 3. In addition to checking out the new entry, there will also be an opening celebration with live entertainment and giveaway during the event, which will run 9 am to noon.
The entrance, known as Grundhofer Plaza, includes self-service kiosks for ticket and membership purchases, a new scan-and-go entry system, and a guest relations office that will have info about private parties, tours, and more.
“Our beautiful, new Grundhofer Plaza will provide guests a seamless and convenient gateway into The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens. It is designed to immerse visitors in the beauty of the desert and provide an exceptional guest service experience from the start,” Dawn Petrick, Director of Park Services and Guest Relations, said in a press release.
