A pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car in Palm Springs on Tuesday night.
The crash happened on Sunrise Way at Sonora Road about 9:30 pm, according to the Desert Sun. The pedestrian was taken by paramedics to the hospital for unspecified injuries.
Officials closed a portion of Sunrise for several hours to investigate. It has since reopened.
Drugs or alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the collision.
