79-year-old arrested for attempting to shoplift 2 full carts of items at La Quinta Kohl’s

Police arrested a 79-year-old woman on Thursday after they say she tried to take two full shopping carts full of items without paying for them from the La Quinta Kohl’s.

According to a Facebook post for the La Quinta Police Dept., Patricia Elrod unloaded a full shopping cart of items into her vehicle. She then went back into the store, loaded up her cart again, and, once again, walked out with no intention of paying for any of the items.

Police say that Elrod has multiple warrants for theft from Los Angeles County.

The La Quinta Special Enforcement Team asks anyone who see suspicious activity while shopping during the Holiday Season to call (760) 836-3215.
