It’s been a rainy week in the Coachella Valley (to the delight of some and not so much to others). So how much rain has fallen in the Greater Palm Springs Area? Quite a bit (for a desert, anyway), according to the National Weather Service.
Here are the amounts at the official measuring stations around the Coachella Valley, as of 8 am Thursday.
- Whitewater Trout Farm: 1.82 inches of rain
- Palm Canyon Creek: 1.18
- Lower Tahquitz Creek: 1.06
- Desert Hot Springs: 1.02
- Cathedral Canyon: 0.98
- Palm Springs Airport: 0.91
- Thousand Palms: 0.75
- Palm Desert: 0.67
- Indio: 0.55
- Cathedral City: 0.47
- Thermal Airport: 0.39
Rain is still possible throughout the day Thursday (along with some crazy-ass fog!), then things should clear out for a pretty nice weekend, according to the weather forecast – so your dad will still be able to see plenty of golf and Bad Company perform.
