The Starbucks at the River in Rancho Mirage is closing its doors.
A Cactus Hugs tipster spotted flyers in the coffee shop inviting customers to a “final farewell” on Friday, March 22.
“Come join us in a final farewell to the Starbucks at the River!” the flyer reads. “There will be coffee and pastry samples as well as connections with your favorite baristas. Friday, March 22 from 8am-12pm!”
An employee from the store told Cactus Hugs they will be closing on the 24th. We reached out to Starbucks for a comment and did not hear back.
The closing follows other recent shutdowns in that section of the Rancho Mirage entertainment and dining complex including MidiCi Pizza, Coachella Winery, and Baja Fresh. The River added Apong’s Philly Steaks in late 2018.
Those looking to get their Starbucks fix won’t have to travel far, as there is literally one across the street at 42500 Bob Hope Drive.
