A man was taken into custody after a high speed police chase that started in Coachella and ended in Indian Wells.
The pursuit began about 9:30 am Wednesday morning on The 10 Freeway, with the suspect leading CHP westbound, according to KESQ. The driver was traveling at a high rate of speed and, at one point, began driving on the wrong side of the freeway in Indio near Golf Center Way.

The pursuit left the freeway at Jefferson Street and the suspect led police on a chase on surface streets through Indio and La Quinta, before it came to an end near Miles and Highway 111 in Indian Wells about 10 am.
