A woman and two boys were arrested early Thursday morning after police say they stole alcohol from a store and fired a gun inside.

Deputies with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department told KESQ that the trio walked into the store at Avenue 52 and Cesar Chavez a little after midnight looking for free beer. Police say that while a clerk tried to stop them, a suspect fired a gun into the ceiling.

The woman and boys fled, but were arrested a couple of hours later.

There were no reported injuries.
