The company who owns Sears and Kmart announced that 26 more stores will be closing this fall – including the Kmart store in Desert Hot Springs.
All of the stores will close in late October, according to a statement Wednesday by Transform Co. – which sounds like a made-up Bond villain’s company, but is in fact the group running things for Sears and Kmart after they filed for bankruptcy 10 months ago.
As the Press Enterprise notes, a liquidation sale is expected to start at the closing stores sometime next week – including the Kmart located at 14011 Palm Drive in Desert Hot Springs.
