Border Patrol doesn’t fall for the ol’ meth disguised as popsicles trick

Two people were arrested on Sunday with more than nine pounds of methamphetamine made to look like popsicles in an ice chest on Sunday.

A canine alerted agents of an odor coming from a Toyota Corolla at the checkpoint on Highway 78 in Blythe, according to a news release. Agents quickly discovered the brightly colored bags weighing over nine pounds.

The driver, a 28-year-old female, and the passenger, a 38-year-old male, were both arrested for transportation of methamphetamine.
