It’s been quite a while since Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley saw rain (or even a day where a sweater might be needed), but that all changes this week.
While Monday is going to be yet another toasty one, with high temps in the low 90s in the desert, Tuesday things cool down to the low 80s and, wow, by Wednesday the high temp in the Coachella Valley is only predicted to hit 69 degrees. Nice.
Along with the cooler temperatures, there is also a chance of rain – with forecasters calling for about a 1/4 of an inch in the west Coachella Valley and less than a tenth of an inch in the eastern part of town. But, hey, we will take what we can get.
The forecast rainfall keeps getting adjusted as the upcoming storm comes into better focus. Here is the latest thinking: pic.twitter.com/qazfzX2V0A

Best shot at showers is mid-week, then things are looking super-nice with 70-degree highs as far as the eye can see (well, as far as the 10-day forecast goes, anyway). So you might want to make some plans to get out and do a hike or just plop down on a chair and enjoy it because it’s been way too long since we have a stretch of nice weather, my friend.
