The Coachella Music and Arts Festival surprised plenty of music fans this week as, after they dropped the lineup, organizers announced that all of the Weekend One tickets had already been scooped up during the fest’s advance sale.  The announcement left fans with only the chance to buy up tickets to the always less-in-demand Weekend Two.  On the bright side, for those still wishing to attend Weekend One, the price of wristbands has actually dropped on the resale market since last the lineup was announced.

Online ticket reseller StubHub had tickets for Weekend One going for as little as $492 on Monday.  That was a drop of more than $20 from the lowest price ($514) of tickets that could be found on Thursday, prior to Coachella announcing Weekend One was sold out and dropping the lineup. The Weekend One resale prices were just a tad bit higher than Weekend Two passes, which were selling for $460.

VIP tickets for Weekend One also saw a drop from $1,148 on Thursday to $1,057 on Monday evening on StubHub’s event listing.  And while prices have seemed to drop a bit, they are still higher than the on-sale price of $399 for General Admission and $949 for VIP.

The 2020 Coachella Music and Arts Festival will be headlined by  Rage Against the Machine, Travis Scott, and Frank Ocean.  It’s still possible that more artists could be added to the lineup, as 2019 saw Kanye West’s Sunday Service performance added to Weekend Two in late March, which saw ticket demand increase leading up the event.
