A fire seen throughout the Coachella Valley broke out about 1 pm near the 10 Freeway in Cathedral City on Friday.
The fire was reported in the trees near railroad tracks close to Date Palm Drive, according to the Desert Sun. The CHP told the newspaper that traffic has not been effected.
