A 58-year-old Anza woman is dead and a male suspect in custody after she was fatally shot in the mountain community on Sunday.
Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department were called to a residence on Mitchell Road a little after 3 am on Sunday morning, according to a news release. Deputies arrived to find a female deceased at the location. She was identified as Cherie Mae Lanzisera, 58 years old of Anza.
In the course of the investigation, a suspect was identified. Trent Allen Lightfoot, 50 years old, resident of Anza, was arrested for murder.
