Two teachers from Orange County were arrested on Saturday for allegedly having sex with students during two separate camping trips.
Officials from The Orange County Sheriff’s Department arrested 38-year old Melody Lippert and 30-year old Michelle Ghirelli, both teachers and both from Covina. Authorities had received information that the two women had arranged camping trips and on those trips the two of them had sex with students from South Hills High School.
The first trip occurred in November when Lippert allegedly met a group of male students from her high school at San Clemente State Beach. According to cops she provided alcohol and had sex with one of the students.
A few weeks later another trip was arranged by Lippert, this time with Ghirelli and many of the same students from the first trip. The Sheriff’s Department did not specify the type of sexual relationship involved, but Lippert was arrested for conspiracy and contributing to the delinquency of a minor and Ghirelli was arrested for oral copulation and unlawful sex with a minor.
Lippert and Ghirelli were booked into Orange County Jail on $20,000 and $50,000 bail. They were scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday.
