People taking to Target’s move toward gender-neutral labeling of toys and children’s products were shocked to see how Target responded hilariously to their dumb complaints. Only thing is, the reply wasn’t actually from Target.
Mike Melgaard was fed up with angry messages on from customers on Target’s Facebook page, so he created a parody account of his own, named it “Ask ForHelp” complete with a Target logo.
Melgaard commented on 50 posts and his account was up for 16 hours before Facebook suspended it (Zuckerberg is no fun), according to Adweek.
Here are some of the replies:
“I definitely side with Target and support their decision wholeheartedly,” Melgaard told Adweek. “That being said, this was, for me, more about the laughs. I absolutely love satirical humor, and I think America could use a little more laughter.”
