Altercation ends with man shot dead in Cathedral City

A man is dead after being shot in Cathedral City early Sunday morning.

Police were called at about 2:40 am to Tachevah Drive, reports KESQ. The arrived to find a man who suffering from gunshot wounds and tried to treat in his injuries. However, he was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Authorities say the shooting happened after an altercation between two groups of men, notes the Desert Sun.  The suspects fled on foot.

The suspects are all described as Hispanic men between 18-21.

The first suspect was described as being between 5’6 and 5’8 with a medium build and was wearing a blue shirt with blue jeans.

The second suspect was between 5’8 and 5’9 with a medium build and was wearing a blue shirt dark jeans.

Suspect number three is described as 5 foot 8 inches tall and 130 pounds, wearing a red shirt and black shorts.
