The City of Palm Desert has announced the stoplights will be out for one intersection along El Paseo for maintenance for most of May.
The lights will go down at the signals at El Paseo and San Luis Rey on on May 4 and will likely be out until May 22 due to repairs. The intersection will function as a four-way stop during that time and, if it’s anything like the other four-way stops on the street, will likely be too confusing and even ignored by way too many drivers – and, well, you might just want to take a few minutes and simply drive around it.
Until repairs are completed, the intersection will function as a four-way stop with
temporary stop signs in place. Delays are possible and motorists are encouraged to allow extra time or use alternate routes.— PD PublicWorks (@DrivePalmDesert) April 23, 2020
Good luck!
