The Republican Mayor of Stockton was arrested on Thursday after authorities say they found evidence that he played strip poker with and provided alcohol to minors.

Investigators say they found an audio recording of Anthony Silva playing strip poker in his bedroom at the camps, , according to the L.A. Times.  A witness says that Silva had cameras installed in the room.

Prosecutors said in a press statement that the taped conversation indicated that the participants, who were naked, were recorded against their will.

“Witnesses stated that Silva had supplied alcohol and made it available to a number of underage counselors at the camp,” the statement said.

The incident, according to prosecutors, took place last August at the Stockton Silver Lake Camp in Amador County, California.

Silva faces one felony count of eavesdropping plus misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, providing alcohol to a minor, and cruelty to a child by endangering their health.

Silva’s lawyer, Mark Reichel, told Reuters that his client “will be vindicated” and added that he “can’t wait to fight them in court, so we can expose the epidemic of kids at summer camp playing strip poker.”
