Authorities are looking for an man armed with a gun they say tried to rob a woman in a Palm Desert parking lot Tuesday night.

The victim says a man with a firearm demanded money from her. He then fled the scene with no cash or property. Police were called to the scene about 7:24 pm, according to a news release.
The suspect was described as being a black male in his mid to late twenties, wearing a black shirt, maroon sweater and black pants.
