An Indio man was arrested for murder after his girlfriend’s body was found three miles from a mobile home fire.
Authorities arrived to find a mobile home fully engulfed in flames at 11:41 am Saturday, reports the Desert Sun.
Fire crews were able to contain the blaze in about 30 minutes, notes KESQ.
The occupants of the home were not on the property and witnesses told authorities that a domestic violence incident may have occurred between a woman who lived in the home and her boyfriend before the home was set on fire.
An investigation ensued and investigators found found the woman’s body three miles from the fire in Thermal, according to a news release.
The victim’s boyfriend, Christian Pacheco, 22 years old, of Indio, was arrested and booked on investigation of murder.
