Three men in Apple Valley were arrested after police say they planned to hold up a liquor store while a baby was left in a car in the parking lot.
Police were flagged down by someone on Wednesday night near Grand Liquor on Rancherias Road, reports The Press Enterprise. Authorities say that Edward Johnson, Phillip Smith, and Jayquan Crittenden were inside the store. Johnson, according to police, had a handgun.
As police investigated, they found Johnson’s baby in a car outside the store. The baby was returned to its mother and San Bernardino County Children’s and Family Services was notified, according to CBS LA.
All three men were arrested.
