Straight out of your worst nightmares, Bakersfield police have been getting calls from the public freaked out by clowns standing in public holding machetes and baseball bats!
By Friday, Bakersfield cops already had a whopping 16 reports of clowns wielding weapons!
Already one teenager has been arrested after police say that he dressed as a clown and then chased other teens (he did do it without a weapon). One of the teens was “visibly shaken” – which makes sense, since I am visibly shaken just thinking about it!
The arrested teen said that he wanted to copy “Wasco Clown”, a husband and wife art project in the town of Wacso, California who have had their photos go viral.

In Bakersfield, Sgt. Joseph Grubbs has vowed to bring this clown terrorism to an end. He told The LA Times, “We will make arrests on this…we want this to stop.”
