KMIR reports that former President Barack Obama has accepted a membership at Thunderbird Country Club in Rancho Mirage.
The letter signed by the former President says he does not think it will impact their course and his acceptance will continue the legacy of former Presidents who were members there. One President, Gerald Ford, actually lived on the exclusive Thunderbird course.
Rumors have swirled over the past few years that the Obamas had purchased a home in the gated community. Rumors that, so far anyway, have not been confirmed.
The former President visited the Coachella Valley numerous times while in office to host meetings and, of course, hit the links – a thing that some people used to complain about quite a bit, but have all of a sudden become very quiet about lately.
We pay for Obama's travel so he can fundraise millions so Democrats can run on lies. Then we pay for his golf.
