Beaumont Police investigating razor blade in Halloween candy

The Beaumont Police Department is investigating after they received a social media message about a piece of Halloween candy that may have been tampered with.

A woman told officers she and her family went trick-or-treating in the area of 1st Street and Seneca Springs Parkway on Halloween, according to Beaumont Police. Upon arriving at their home, she sorted through the candy and noticed one of the pieces appeared to have been tampered with.

Officers took the candy to investigate, but at this point officers are unable to determine the origin of the candy or if the tampering was done intentionally.
