Beaumont votes to oppose California Sanctuary law

The Beaumont City Council voted 3-2 Tuesday night to approve a resolution asserting that SB 54, California’s “sanctuary state” law, is incompatible with federal law and, therefore, illegitimate.

The city becomes the first in the Inland Empire to oppose the bill, according to CBS LA. Loma Linda, Redlands and Yucaipa are also considering anti-SB 54 resolutions of their own.
