Hangar 24 Craft Brewery in Redlands has announced an all-day event to help victims of the San Bernardino shooting this Saturday, Dec. 26.
“Hangar 24 SB United Fundraiser,” is scheduled to take place from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. It will feature beer tasking and live music.
The brewery made the announcement of the fundraiser on Facebook:
Sadly, though, the reality of the situation is that this was an attack on our community, and against people who have made us who we are as a company. Without this community, we would not have the standing that we hold here in Redlands, San Bernardino, and beyond. And it is a standing for which we are proud and honored to hold.
To that end, we feel with everything inside of us, that it is our obligation to support – financial and otherwise – the families of people who were struck down too early, and to help those survivors, who will have a long road to recovery. Financial aid will not bring back those who were lost, and it will not erase the scars, but to do any less for this community would be a shame.
With that said, we will be holding a one-day event the day after Christmas to come together as a community, where 100% of both cost and profit (minus sales tax) from beer and merchandise, will be donated to the SB United Fund to help out victims. In addition, 100% of profit that day from online sales will also be donated. We hope that you’ll join us in a day of remembrance and support. #BeerForSB
The event is free to get into and beer tasting will remain at the brewery’s normal prices. Root beer will be available as well.
Brewery officials are hopeful the event will raise $30,000 in funds to help victims of the Dec. 2 shooting that happened at Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino.
