Bernie Sanders will give supporters a chance to, once again, “feel the bern” next week as he holds a rally in Rancho Mirage.
The Vermont Senator will be at the Rancho Mirage Amphitheater for a 6:30 pm rally on Monday, December 16. Doors for the event open at 5:30 pm. You can get more info and sign up for updates (and then get asked for donations non-stop) on the event at the campaign’s official website.
The event isn’t the first stop into the Coachella Valley for Sanders, who held a rally in 2016 during his Democratic primary run against Hilary Clinton in Cathedral City. The Senator has also taken time to visit VillageFest in Palm Springs, spent the night in Desert Hot Springs, and enjoy some slightly-spicy fajitas at Las Casuela.
There was also a BernieChella festival, that the Senator had nothing to do with, in the city of Coachella in 2016.
Sanders visit this time around is likely due to California shifting its primary up to March and, just a guess here, also gives him an excuse to spend a few days in the desert while Iowa and New Hampshire are cold af.
