As I say these very words, their meaning is still seeping in. Life seems to be a dream lately, and the most beautiful part is that I realize I'm awake. While it is sad to share today is my last day at KESQ News Channel 3 in Palm Springs, I am humbled and full of the purest joy to share I have accepted a new job on air in the LA market! • I’ve had a rare and special experience in this business of starting my career in paradise and now getting to go to the market I’ve always dreamed of working. Hard work pays off, but it’s not lost on me that God has kept me in the palm of his hand and blessed my career path thus far. I’m grateful for it all. • Thank you to KESQ for giving me my first job out of college and the confidence and chance to develop my career the last seven years. Thank you to all of the loyal viewers for taking me in when I was a 22-year-old-fresh-out-of-college-kid and supporting and loving me as I grew up literally before your eyes, now almost a 30 year old woman. You don’t know how much I appreciate all your emails, messages and hello’s (special shout-out to the viewer who asked me for Jack’s paw-tograph years ago, and to the other one who told me he counts how many times I laugh every morning show.) Jokes aside, that’s beautiful loyalty and I couldn’t be more blessed to be on the receiving end of that. • Coachella Valley, I’ll only be two hours away and grateful to still have the chance for the @biancaraefoundation to be involved in the community. Now, we get to expand our reach someday as well. Thank you to the hundreds of selfless volunteers who helped build and grow this non-profit as we just tried to made a difference. I leave the valley confident we did and will continue to do so. • Lastly to my family for supporting every wild and far-reaching idea I ever had since birth….thank you. This has been our dream for me for a long time… I am so excited for us! • I will be able to share more details about my career move soon, but for now, thank you all for supporting me in this journey….it’s about to get even bigger. Jack and I are ready for our next adventure !! • Photo: @aponte_6 of @aponte_photography

Update 2: Bianca Rae announced on Instagram that she will be reporting for Spectrum News 1 SoCal:

Spectrum News 1 SoCal is scheduled to launch in November and has promised to focus on in-depth reporting and long-form storytelling. The channel has said it will hire 125 employees in all, including 30 multimedia reporters.

Only Spectrum customers will have access to Spectrum 1 News – which will have a limited reach of only about 25% of the estimated 5.5 million TV homes in Los Angeles area. For those with the channel, it will automatically play as soon as the TV is first switched on.

No word yet on what time or shows Bianca Rae will be seen on, but it appears she has begun to film segments for the channel.
