A man suffered critical injuries after he was hit by a pickup truck while riding his bike in Palm Springs.
The cyclist was struck by a 2006 Chevy Silverado about midnight at Ramon and Crossley roads, according to the Desert Sun – who reports the the bicyclist entered the intersection against a red light.
The collision caused the cyclist to land on the truck’s hood until he was thrown to the ground and rolled 20 feet ahead when the truck stopped.

Police do not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor and the pickup driver is cooperating with authorities.
