Police arrested a Twentynine Palms man after they say he placed a bizarre 911 call on Sunday where he asked the operator to tell his daughter about jail.
Michael Harper, 33, placed the call about 4:45 p.m. Sunday, reports Z107.7. He asked the dispatcher to tell his daughter about jail, then handed the phone to the young girl. The dispatcher noted the man sounded extremely intoxicated.
Sheriff’s deputies were sent to the house on Cholla Avenue where Harper denied calling 911.
Police say Harper then nearly fell on the girl several times and they determined Harper was intoxicated. He was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment.
