UPDATE: KMIR confirms that the body is that of Omar Meza.
Meanwhile, during the station’s 5:30pm newscast, Local 2’s Joe Galli confirmed that someone called authorities at 2pm about a body they saw floating at The Marriott Desert Springs.

Authorities have not yet confirmed if the body is indeed Omar Meza, who went missing in the area Thursday night.
Palm Desert PD is investigating a found body at 74800 block of Country Club. Identity of the deceased is unknown. Press Release to follow.
