Apple hosted the Grand Opening of their new Brooklyn, New York location over the weekend. The store, located on Flatbush Avenue in what was formerly a parking garage, might look a bit familiar to Palm Springs residents.
Apple’s new Brooklyn store looks like the Tramway gas station building in Palm Springs. A lot of googie influence pic.twitter.com/skVuJvg45Z

Michael Steeber, a write for 9 to 5 Mac, noticed similarities between the new store and the historic Albert Frew designed Tram Gas Station, which is now a visitor center.
And while the store looks super cool – unfortunately for New Yorkers, there is not a tram whisking you to 8,516 feet nearby.
