The Burgerim inside the food court at the Westfield Palm Desert mall has closed.
The hamburger spot opened in September 2017 with a really well attended free burger promotion.
There Burgerim website now lists the Palm Desert location as “closed for relocation” – there is no word on just where or when that relocation might take place.
There is also no longer a listing for Burgerim on the Westfield Palm Desert website.
Update: The owner of the location reached out to Cactus Hugs by email and said, in part, “It was very upsetting , that mall just couldn’t support my type of restaurant with rents over 15000 a month.”
They also told Cactus Hugs that 5 team members were interviewed for positions within the Burgerim corporation and two were accepted to full time jobs. They also noted that all employees received their final paycheck.
Burgerim had an average score of 3.5 out of 5 after 80 reviews on Yelp.
